Waiting for the green light to lead?
Sometimes the only permission you need… is your own.
Let this post be your gentle nudge. 💡
Many of us hold back, thinking leadership only begins with a title or a formal invitation. But more often, leadership shows up in the quiet choice to take initiative—to lean in, offer support, or take responsibility, even when it’s not officially “yours.” It’s not about overstepping—it’s about stepping up when it matters.
Is there a place in your work or life where you’ve been waiting—hoping someone else would make the first move? Consider this your gentle nudge: What’s one small action you can take today to shift from waiting to leading?

Soul

Together we have it all

“Come with Bells On”
“Come with bells on” – That came out of my mouth while speaking to a few workshop attendees. Where did that come from I wondered. Especially since, it arrived in my mind and out of my mouth without being summoned. A family saying I presumed. Bringing a few bells...

Such good encouragement! Thank you!
I don’t like to lead but being the oldest have no choice but lead now that my mother has passed. Having no choice is a great motivator. 🙂

Sometimes when we become the leader we learn about our own strengths and step into a great place. You’ve got this!
I just gave up a leadership position. For the past 4 years I facilitated a grief support group for widows and widowers. It’s been something I’ve been thinking about for about six months. I did mention it to someone who I thought might take over, but she didn’t bite. So, one day I came into the group and just said that I’m done. Long story short… three people stepped up to take over…including the one I talked to about this six months ago. Funny, it took three people to take over the job I did for close to four years!
Now, I’m not looking for a leadership situation. I’m looking to just relax and maybe sometime in the future I’ll look for something new.

It’s really amazing how that works. I too walked away from an important leadership position for me. Near and dear to my heart but toooooo much time. I was begged, hounded and cajoiled for 6 months said yes then after attending one too many long meetings – I resigned the position and the organization. I was sad and grieving about it but I had donated enough. Amazing within 3 days they had a new president. It was time for that season of my life to change.
Great reminder that leadership isn’t about waiting for a formal title, but about stepping up when the moment calls for it. It’s all about taking initiative and making a difference, no matter where you are.
